It is funny that for the most part Latinos are under
estimate even down grade but when it comes to political it’s all about how much
help they will be receiving. Many people
in office know that the Latino community are growing in the states and want their
votes when they are running for office. For the most part they promote all this
help for them but once in office the Latino do not get any of it.
With the data collected from the
censer it shows that the number for Latinos is expected to double by 2030. In
the last year, congressional Republican leaders flirted with passing
immigration reform to improve their standing with Latinos only to back away
after meeting fierce resistance from their base. On the other side, Democrats
are still struggling with how far they’re willing to go to on the issue.
President Obama recently outraged Latino groups by delaying a promised overhaul of deportation
procedures amid complaints from Democrats
in conservative states that dramatic action could drag down their campaigns as
mention in Sarlin article.
As seen in this article many
politician use the Latinos for their vote but don’t follow through their plan
given out to them. Even though in Obama case he has been trying to pass the
bill through the house is not coordinating with him and passing the bill that
would benefit the immigrates.
As mention in their article there has been some laws that
have been used as a political organizing tool that pits one community against
others. And they reflect a profound misunderstanding of Latinos. They remind us
that there is more to be done to guarantee our civil and human rights are fully
acknowledged and enforced. These laws are being used as a political
organizing tool that pits one community against others. And they reflect a
profound misunderstanding of Latinos. They remind us that there is more to be
done to guarantee our civil and human rights are fully acknowledged and
enforced. This could have not been said better. It is so true and I wonder
if many look at thing been done this way too.
We are all here in
our country but then yet again since we don’t have the right documentations we
are consider illegal immigrates and treated differently. I feel that Latinos
are treated the worst from all the other minority groups that come to the
United States which it makes no sense since everyone migrated here to the
states and if they were not born here in the states then they should all be
treated the same as one and other.
Just because other
nations have different advancement does not mean that they have special rights
to be okay to stay. I feel that the Latinos are very hard working people that
do many of the jobs that Americans don’t like doing. For example they work the fields
as well as do little jobs in big corporations like cleaning and cooking.
